Review by hotel critic

As an Italian surf instructor who appreciates both luxury and value, Quinta Das Amendoeiras offered a pleasant stay near Albufeira. The family-owned property exudes authenticity, with colorful and tidy apartments that match the pictures. The quiet location, just above Albufeira Camping, provides a serene environment for holidaymakers. While lacking 5-star amenities, the attentive hosts, Carlos and Maria, ensure a comfortable stay, including delicious Almond pie. The saltwater swimming pool and BBQ area add to the charm of this almond yard-turned-hotel.For those seeking affordability, this B&B shines with the provision of laundry facilities on-site and the option to have laundry done by the hosts. The proximity to a supermarket and quick responses from the hosts enhance convenience. However, for those valuing upscale features and services like airport shuttle or VIP check-in/out, this property may not fully satisfy. Quinta Das Amendoeiras balances cost-effectiveness with a cozy, authentic Portuguese experience, making it a suitable choice for travelers seeking simplicity and tranquility.
